Several local restaurants dot the central business area, offering everything from Abbott's custard, to pizza, to fine dining. There's even a local candy store, attesting to the small-town feel of Hilton. Larger venues and the lure of nightlife are just a few miles away.
Village Park, at 225 West Ave., is a favorite local gathering spot where you can find locals visiting with friends and enjoying the green-space. It features Jennejahn lodge, open year round, with a large wood-burning fireplace.
The Hilton Apple Festival in September is one of Monroe County's most popular events featuring foods, crafts and a large car show. The Fireman's Carnival is held in July, complete with amusement rides, concerts and festival foods.
