Students attend Fairport Schools which feature four elementary buildings, two junior highs, a ninth grade school, and Fairport High for grades 10 thru 12. The district is well respected in all areas - academic, arts & sports.

You'll find pet stores and car shops, major superstores, and small, locally owned specialty stores, along with drugstores, bakeries, bagel shops, and even a winery in the town of Perinton.

Parks
Egypt Park, at 7 Victor Rd., has tennis, softball, picnicking and hiking trails that connect to Lollypop Farm; Fellows Rd. Park, at 499 Fellows Rd., has softball and soccer fields, volleyball, handball and basketball courts, jogging trails and lighted tennis courts; Kreag Road Park at 555 Kreag Rd., has softball, volleyball and basketball, as well as a boat and fishing dock, and lighted tennis and softball areas; Center Park, at Ayrault Rd. and Turk Hill Rd., offers 120 aces with hiking trails, an amphitheater, and soccer fields - it is host to the town's summer concert series; Perinton Park, at 99 O'Connor Rd., has six lighted tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, and picnicking on the Erie Canal with access to the town-wide bike route; Potter Park on Potter Place provides soccer fields, basketball, baseball and a playground; Spring Lake Park is on Irondequoit Creek and has softball fields and playgrounds; and the Howell Road Park, comprised of over 80 acres, is yet to be developed.

Annual Events
Youth Fishing Derbies, Concerts, Movies in the Park, Community Yard Sales, Car Shows, A Summerfest, Fairport Canal Days, and more are part of Perinton's active schedule.

There are several neighborhoods located off of the main arteries. There, life slows down and neighbors stroll the streets.
